Kentucky Cattlemen's Leadership Program

The Leadership Program is an intensive learning experience. It provides a balance between learning and practicing as it encourages application of the ideas outside of the session.  The program is designed to help leaders in the beef industry become more aware of all segments of the industry, make informed decisions on agricultural policy and public issues, and represent the beef industry to the public by becoming active at the local, state, and national levels.

OBJECTIVES:
  • Develop and improve leadership/ communication skills
  • Understand the structure and organization of the entire beef industry
  • Build an understanding of the socio-economic and political systems affecting the various aspects of the beef industry
  • Develop a better understanding of people - ourselves, our fellow citizens, our environment, and our personal and group's aspirations
  • Analyze complex problems facing the people, beef industry, agricultural systems, and rural areas
  • Enhance the ability to provide leadership in the resolution of these issues.
  • Establish a basis for lifelong development by stimulating a desire for Independent study and learning.
